Our Leadership
Cody Sutton
CEO & Founder
Prior to his work in founding Guide Energy Solutions, Cody most recently served as the VP of Sales & Business Development for Flotek Industries (NYSE: FTK). In his tenure at FTK he was able to adapt quickly and help FTK capitalize on the industry’s initiative to demand direct, de-bundled purchasing by the E&P clients. Before his role at FTK, he managed sales and operations in two of the top profit centers for Brenntag North America, the world’s largest chemical distributor. Cody received a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
Cody Coomer
COO & Founder
Cody has been providing quality service to E&P Companies in the Mid-Continent for over 13 years, having most recently operated as the VP of Mid-Continent for Flotek Industries (NYSE: FTK). In this role Cody set the strategy for client engagement for full fluid chemistry design and sales in the region. Cody initially embarked on his oil and gas career at Halliburton where he spent more than six years serving in various roles from operations, to supply chain, to sales. Thereafter he held a sales leadership role at Trican Well Services, mentoring sales teams in both the Mid-Continent and Rockies.
Justin Vaughn
President & Founder
Justin came to be President of Guide Energy Solutions after most recently serving as Sales Manager for Flotek Industries (NYSE: FTK) in Houston, Texas. In addition to working at Conlen Surfactant Technology (acquired by Lamberti S.p.A.), where he served as Supply Chain Manager over their oilfield and agriculture intermediate manufacturing plants, he also possesses a proven track record of sales and sales management with both Blue Ribbon Technology, a division of C&J Energy Services, and Brenntag North America, the world’s largest chemical distributor. Justin received a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
Glen Walden
Director of Innovation & Founder
Glen, raised in a family legacy of Oil & Gas production, honed his expertise in surfactant chemistry at Christianson Chemicals. He founded three chemical manufacturing plants and Conlen Surfactant Technology, later selling to Lamberti S.p.A. Glen continues to innovate and consult in the Oil & Gas sector and holds a B.S. in Organic Chemistry.
Ernest McMillan
Board Member & Founder
Ernest has over 40 years of experience in the petrochemical industry. Prior to Guide, he was VP of Conlen Surfactant Technology (CST) and Site Manager for Lamberti S.p.A. He has helped develop successful chemistry-related companies and holds four U.S. patents. Ernest has both an M.S. and a B.S. in Chemistry.
